The most immediate way to get to like art is to understand it. The simplest way to understand art is experiencing it. This is the goal of our exhibition that presents a review of the key visual art streams of the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. Separate “rooms” are dedicated to various “isms” such as cubism, impressionism, surrealism, expressionism and Dadaism. Children can enter the rooms and studios and become a part of the art production of the respective periods. A wardrobe as Degas’s ballet studio, a cubistic mirror and a surrealistic bed-airship certainly are an attractive invitation – and not just for children.
